Hello Friday, it is so, so good to see you. I'm off to NY tomorrow to celebrate my wonderful sister's birthday, so tonight will be filled with wine, packing and relaxing for this girl. Happy weekend, everyone.
Easter is so close! I love all of the pieces I chose for my Lent challenge, but I'm craving some more colorful pieces and non-sweater dresses. I also feel like I wear these animal print flats and this enamel necklace every single day...11.more.days.
Got a little French cooking lesson on Saturday night- which was less of me cooking anything, more of me drinking wine, watching everyone else do the work and sulking about the hat I was forced to wear.
In my defense, I'd like to reference the below photo- a.k.a. the human rainbow that is my amazing workplace, Trunk Club. I just couldn't miss out on this and I had already worn my blue colored jeans on Tuesday! Fail. Also, I learned a valuable lesson: if you jump in the air with your hands up, you will flash the world your belly button.
I'll be back at it with my Lent challenge tomorrow, promise.
There's nothing quite like 80 degree weather and spending time with family. Hope you're all having equally wonderful and relaxing weekends.
And happy, happy birthday to one of my biggest fans- my momma! I'm a pretty big fan of her, too.
Some delightfully warm weather has graced the Midwest as of late. And apparently, incredibly strong gusts of wind are its partner in crime. Thank goodness for the ponytail (although somehow I still look windblown...).
Well, I'll start by saying that I missed yesterday's post because by the time my photographer husband got home, I was half a bottle of wine deep and I don't really want photographic evidence of how purple my teeth get in these situations. I'll keep pretending that my smile is always gloriously and blindingly white. Anyway, yesterday I wore numbers 19 (Lululemon leggings), 9 (Michael Kors boots), 10 (BR statement necklace) and the newbie number 35 (a navy and white striped tunic from Lands' End Canvas). Don't worry, you'll be seeing these guys again in the next 32 days.
Today I decided to dress all in black and grey, to match my hungover soul.
My weekend was spent on the couch, just not exactly in the way I had hoped. I caught a 24 hour bug and it put me out of commission. I finally ventured out of the house for family dinner on Sunday night, but couldn't quite face anything except leggings.
Here's to a freaky, fabulous Friday- the girls over at Tartan & Sequins were nice/kind/awesome enough to feature me on their blog as their Girl Crush of the Week. I am beyond flattered, and I hope you enjoy Julia and Allison's blog as much as I do!
