I am so excited to announce my first weekly feature- Freaky Friday! The goal here is to get myself out of my comfort zone, into slightly uncomfortable situations and hopefully discover some new obsessions.

The maxi sweater dress. It's the more practical, older sister of my beloved sweater dress. I'll have you know- I'm the younger, more frivolous and flighty sister in my family, so I didn't know if I could pull this look off. But for $4.97 from Old Navy (yes, five flipping dollars), I figured it was worth a shot.

P.S. what good is a Friday, if not for early evening cocktails?

These little oxfords came into my life months ago, but I always forget about them when getting dressed. Poor things. I pulled them out today for a menswear inspired outfit (except for the tight sweater dress and polka dot tights, teehee).

I.love.sweater.dresses. I buy a handful every Fall and pretty much wear them to death by April. I saw this one online at J.Crew and knew it would be a good investment- the color is gorgeous and it's heavy enough to keep warm in the winter months. I wore it for the first time layered over my chambray button-down bought for this post. Can't wait to wear this one again and again!
